started its operation in the year 1975 and became an independent entity in 1984. It is
an umbrella organization, covering 20 public sector and regional rural banks. People interested
in working as Officers and Clerks in these, have to sit for the Common Written Examination
(CWE), organized by IBPS. It was started with a mission of enhancing human-resource development
through personnel assessment. The Governing Board is responsible for the policies and
affairs of the Institute. This Board consists of nominees from Reserve Bank of India, National
Institute of Bank Management and representatives from Insurance sector and academics, among
others. IBPS Recruitment 2015 offers brilliant opportunities
to all the university degree holders, to work in any of the banks under it, as IBPS PO,
IBPS Clerk, Officers, IBPS Specialist officer, among others. Interested and Eligible candidates
have to sit for its three step recruitment process. IBPS receives a huge number of applications
for its limited seats, as the following posts: • CWE Probationary Office or Management
Trainees • CWE Clerical Assistants
• CWE Officers and Office assistants to Regional Rural Banks
• CWE specialist officer, where Accounting, Agriculture, Management, Law or IT professionals
are recruited The recruitment process of IBPS Bank Jobs
involves three steps. The first being Common Written Examination, which is followed by
the Common Interview and then, the final placement. With a selection ratio of 1 out of 1000, IBPS
CWE is counted amongst the most competitive examinations in India. IBPS exam issues recruitment
advertisement of Probationary Officer, Clerical Assistants, Officers, Specialist Officers
and other posts and calls for the registration of candidates through an online application.
The CWE syllabus and general instructions would also be provided in the exam notification.
Once a candidate has registered, s/he would be notified the date and centre of the exam
via a call letter, which could be downloaded a few days before the examination date. There
is an age based restriction to sit for these exams, which varies with the type of recruitment
and the category to which a person belongs to.
The written exam would be an internet based, objective type exam with negative marking
for every wrong answer. More than 20 lakh candidates sit for the exam every year and
it tests the candidate’s knowledge of general English, general awareness, quantitative aptitude,
reasoning ability, and others. The candidates could practice questions from all these different

After CWE, IBPS conducts a common interview (CI) for the shortlisted candidates at different
locations and prepares a final merit list, the score of whose is used to recruit them
